What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Coordinator position at Carroll Electric Cooperative Corporation?
PURPOSES SPECIFIC TO THE POSITION
To provide a broad range of support within the Human Resources Department and other areas of Team Services.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to Vice President, Team Services.
- Directs – none.
- Cooperates and coordinates with all persons both within and outside the Cooperative as needed to carry out the responsibilities of the position.
QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES
- A relevant Bachelor's degree is preferred, but other qualifications, experience, and attributes will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Exercises highest degree of confidentiality regarding all Cooperative, member, retiree, and employee information.
- Requires the ability and willingness to perform duties consistent with board policies, federal and state regulations, and established safety rules.
- Requires ability to maintain a neat workspace and organize both physical and electronic files and folders.
- Requires proficiency, or ability to become proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs and other Graphical User Interface database systems. Effective use of various mobile devices is also required.
- Requires strong written and verbal communication skills, along with a trustworthy and relatable demeanor.
- Willingness and ability to maintain a valid driver's license and safely operate Cooperative vehicles.
- Requires ability to develop, maintain, and distribute a wide range of reports, processes, claims, recordkeeping systems, etc.
- Supports, attends, and participates in various meetings.
- Assists employees and retirees with various questions and needs, connecting them with appropriate resources.
- Assists in ensuring the Cooperative exercises sound employment practices.
- Conducts research and collects and analyzes data.
- Works with others and assists with implementing and administering various programs.
- Handles light loads frequently and assists with medium loads occasionally.
- Works primarily at a desk setting but occasionally assists with event/meeting arrangements which involve a wider range of postures and environments.
- Supports hiring managers with various steps in the job posting, interviewing, and hiring process.
- Requires some multiple-day travel and commitments outside of normal business hours.
- Requires some public speaking and presentations.
- Supports managers with employee relations.
- Performs other duties as required by the position.
