The Registered Respiratory Therapist is accountable for the assessment, intervention, monitoring and treating of patients with pulmonary complications.
 

Full-Time Hourly Position:
Night Shift Position
Monday – Friday 40 hours per week

The Job You Will Perform:

• Maintains standards of excellence and incorporates the CCMH Mission in the performance of all Respiratory Care assigned tasks
• Performs cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, airway management, ventilator management, oximetry, and intermittent and continuous therapy
• Able to serve as a clinical resource for staff and physicians
• Maintains standards of quality and proficiency of the blood gas samples and co-oximetry and complies with regulatory standards
• Recommends appropriate therapy and assesses patient for continuation of therapy
• Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the care of patients relative to their medical diagnosis, age specific requirements, and physical assessment
• Performs duties and tasks reasonably assigned by Respiratory Care Supervisor that may not be included in this document
   

The Qualifications, Skills and/or Knowledge You Bring:

• Certified Respiratory Care Practitioner by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• Current License as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the Kentucky Board of Respiratory Care
• Minimum of one year experience in Respiratory Care
• Current BLS Certification
• CPR Certification required
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• Ability to utilize Hospital Information Systems and computerized microprocessor types of equipment
