LPN or CCMA
Full time position
40 hours, 1 Saturday per month required
Qualified candidates should be a graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Program, with current licensure in the State of Kentucky or certificate in medical assisting. CPR certification is also required.
Two years previous clinical experience is preferred. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Those who apply should work well in a fast-paced environment and be open to learning new skills.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Measure vital signs on each patient upon presentation to clinic.
- Administer medications as ordered by providers while maintaining the 5 Rights.
- Document accurately in the patient’s electronic medical record.
- Reconcile patient medication lists.
- Contact patients regarding important messages about medications, test results, and other general medical information.
- Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA requirements.
- Other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Qualifications
Graduate from a practical nursing program or MA program.
