ER Technician

Hourly PRN Position:
Must work a minimum of 1 shift every 6 weeks
PRN employees will be expected to work one major holiday or one defined critical staffing day

The Job You Will Perform:
- Assist the Patient Care Team in providing patient care as needed
- Communicates, in a timely manner, to the appropriate person any information received or observed that may affect patient care
- Performs treatment and procedures within the guidelines set forth by the Patient Care Policy Manual and Standards of Care
- Assist nurse with readying patients for exam to include, but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, pulse ox, height, weight, and head circumference as needed
- Empties straight urinary drainage bags, ostomy bags, drainage systems and suction containers
- Performs other duties as assigned
The Qualifications, Skills and/or Knowledge You Bring:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 6 months related experience required
- Must be able to read, write and speak the English language
- Must be able to work independently and pay attention to accuracy and detail
- Able to follow verbal instructions
- Read/comprehend written instructions
