Hourly PRN Role:
Must work a minimum of 1 shift every 6 weeks
PRN employees will be expected to work one major holiday or one defined critical staffing day

The Job You Will Perform:

• Greet and interview patients or their representatives to collect intake information and secure signatures required for treatment.
• Prepare and distribute all pertinent patient informational materials to ensure patients are well-informed about their healthcare journey.
• Obtain insurance authorizations to facilitate timely and efficient patient care.
• Escort patients to the appropriate department, ensuring they receive the necessary services promptly.
• Maintain excellent communication with patients and staff, demonstrating professional telephone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
• Perform clerical tasks with a high degree of accuracy, including typing at least 40 words per minute.
• Maintain comfort and professionalism while working within a hospital environment, understanding the critical nature of the role in patient care and facility operations.
  
   

The Qualifications, Skills and/or Knowledge You Bring:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to type at least 40 words per minute with above average accuracy
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent telephone etiquette
• Prior medical, clerical, or administrative experience preferred
