What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nurse Assistant (PRN) position at Carroll County Memorial Hospital?
The Certified Nurse Assistant is responsible to provide patient care and services in a manner consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision, and ICARE values. In this role, the Certified Nurse Assistant will work under the supervision of a Nurse and/or Manager to administer patient care and related activities, services and/or procedures to promote the physical and emotional health and personal comfort needs for assigned patients.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Respects and regards the dignity of all patients, families, visitors and co-workers in a manner consistent with the hospital’s mission, vision, and ICARE values.
Observes and reports patient’s status and needs; answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs as appropriate.
Monitors and records patient’s vital signs; transfers, moves and repositions patients.
Assists physicians and nurses during medical examination and treatment of the patient.
Performs data collection, documentation, communication and implementation of patient care interventions in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, and hospital policy.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements for all clinical nursing services and evidence-based practices.
Ensure all established policies, procedures, standards of practice, and conduct guidelines are followed in accordance with all applicable rules, regulations, and hospital policy.
Ensure all supplies, materials, and equipment inventories are maintained at appropriate levels to meet the demands of patient care, safety, utilization, and financial goals.
Maintains current knowledge and certification requirements; attends all required training programs.
Maintains regular, predictable attendance according to hospital policy.
Other duties as assigned.
