What are the responsibilities and job description for the Equipment Operator position at Carroll County Board of Supervisors?
The Equipment Operator performs skilled trade work operating and maintaining heavy equipment, assisting customers, weighing customer vehicles at the scale, collecting and entering fees and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Landfill Director.

Special Requirements
- Possession of or ability to acquire Virginia DPOR Waste Operator Certification within two years of employment.
- Valid Commercial Drivers License in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Finish Grade Experience
- Work on Saturdays and holidays.
- High school diploma or GED and considerable experience in heavy equipment operation or equivalent combination of education and experience.
