What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Employment - Advancement Outreach Center position at Carroll College?

Position: Advancement Outreach Center Associate (AOCA)
Purpose of Job: Advancement Outreach Center Associates will promote positive relationships with the college's alumni, friends and parents, have conversations to secure financial support of Carroll scholarships and programs, share gratitude with our donors for their financial support of student scholarships at Carroll and update information about Carroll constituents.
Duties: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate with different constituencies by phone, text, email, video and hand-written letters to pursue donations in support of various Carroll College funds.
Build relationships with Alumni, Friends, Parents and Businesses that are affiliated with Carroll College.
Be a positive ambassador of Carroll College.
Follow scripts and procedures to communicate with Carroll’s constituents in a professional manner.
Share information regarding upcoming events, and encourage constituents to attend.
Track individual and group progress and successes.
Follow criteria for benchmarks set each shift.
Ensure confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Help in Advancement and Grateful Saints events, encourage peers to show gratitude and learn about donor support.
Other duties as determined by the Development Coordinator.
Attendance: All Associates are expected to attend mandatory training and be present for the shifts they are scheduled to work, Associates are to arrive on time and communicate with supervisors if changes to scheduled shifts need to be made.
Employment Specifications: Work-Study preferred, but not required
Approximate Hours/Week: Flexible schedule based on student employees schedule, up to 20 hours per week. All AOCA are required to work at least 6 hours per week during our outreach sessions (Fall: September – November / Spring: January – April). Shifts will be Sundays-Thursdays, both daytime and evening.
Length of Employment: Academic Year
Wage Rate: $12.50/hour
