Shipping Support, West Rutland

POSITION SUMMARY:

Employee Owners on the Shipping team prepare, package, and ship customer orders with focus on safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Stacks reels on pallets and keeps accurate counts.

· Operates a stretch wrapper for palletized reels.

· Stacks non-palletized reels directly into trailers and keeps accurate counts.

· Appropriately marks each shipment with identifying labels.

· Keeps work area clean and free of safety hazards.

· Secures loads with load locks, straps, and/or nets to ensure drivers’ safety.

· May operate a forklift to service the shipping dock area with appropriately sized pallets, moving product to and from the stretch wrapper, and loading trailers for shipment.

· Excellent attendance and willing to work overtime as necessary.

· Excellent attitude, communication, and teamwork skills.

· Other duties as assigned or required.

· While performing duties of this job, the employee is required to stack reels by reaching, lifting, turning and/or walking to a pallet or trailer. Depending on the order, reels range in size from 8” to 30” and weigh from 1 lb. to 50 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience

• Valid driver's license
• At least 2 years’ experience in a high-volume shipping/manufacturing/production setting preferred
• High School Diploma

Salary : $17 - $20
