Job Title: Entry-Level Manufacturing Supervisor
Department: Recycle
Reports To: Production Manager
Position Summary:
The Entry-Level Manufacturing Supervisor supports daily operations on the production floor by overseeing a team of production employees, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met. This position is ideal for someone with leadership potential and a strong interest in manufacturing who is ready to grow into a supervisory role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees to meet daily production schedules and quality goals.
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing safety policies and conducting regular safety checks.
- Ensure all employees follow safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Monitor workflow, troubleshoot issues, and assist in resolving production or equipment problems.
- Assist in training and developing team members in proper machine operation, quality standards, and company procedures.
- Communicate production goals, priorities, and expectations to team members.
- Support training and cross-training of employees to ensure flexibility and skill development.
- Track daily production metrics, monitor performance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Review production reports, track performance, and provide feedback to improve productivity and quality.
- Collaborate with maintenance and other departments to support smooth operations.
- Encourage teamwork and accountability within the production crew, reinforcing our shared ownership culture.
- Enforce company policies and procedures fairly and consistently.
- Support continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing waste, improving efficiency, and maintaining a clean and organized facility.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or team lead role preferred (leadership experience a plus).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, ERP systems preferred).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
- Proper PPE must be worn at all times.
