Machine Operator II

Position Summary

The Tube T-Nut Operator is responsible for operating the T-nut machine to properly install T-nuts into flanges in preparation for production. This role ensures accuracy in part selection, maintains material organization, and supports efficient production flow while keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee may be required to perform, but is not limited to, the following duties:

• Operate the Tube T-nut machine to insert T-nuts into flanges according to production requirements
• Verify that the correct T-nut is installed in the appropriate flange based on size and specifications
• Print and apply labels to completed pallets as required
• Wrap completed pallets securely for staging or transport
• Gather and maintain required materials, including T-nuts and wrapping materials, to ensure efficient operation
• Store materials in designated containers and keep them properly closed and organized to prevent mixing of different T-nuts
• Move pallets within the assigned work area using approved manual handling methods, including pushing or pulling when necessary
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in accordance with company standards
• Support overall production flow and assist with additional tasks as assigned by supervision
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, squat, reach, push, and pull for the duration of the shift
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks
• Ability to work in varying environmental conditions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
• Ability to push and pull materials as required

Safety Requirements

The employee is required to follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn, including but not limited to:

• Safety glasses (face shield as required)
• Hearing protection
• High-visibility clothing
• Gloves (not required during cutting)
• Safety toe footwear
• Required to participate in daily stretching exercises as part of the company’s safety and wellness program.

Failure to comply with safety standards may result in disciplinary action.
