In our Critical Access Hospital, you will be exposed to the emergency department, acute care (Med/Surg), swing bed, surgery, outpatient treatment, and so much more!
Pay Range
$15.71 - $22.19 /hour

What you'll do...
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and outstanding customer service skills.
- Performs patient check-in at the time of the visit, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the admitting process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
- Copies/scan patient medical records, benefits/insurance information, and related hardcopy materials (e.g. ID, referrals, insurance cards, etc.) into the correct location in the electronic medical record system.
- Collects patient responsibility payments and answers routine patient insurance and billing inquiries.
- Answers phone calls, schedules appointments, ensures insurance coverage, and alerts patients as to what documentation is needed, including details associated with time-of-service payment schedules.
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- Two years of experience in a health care setting involving customer service to become knowledgeable in practices involved in patient admissions and financial counseling, billing and collections and/or coordination of services related to insurance verification and patient information or or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
- Experience with Meditech, Allscripts, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
