POSITION SUMMARY
The IT Director - Accounts Payable Automation Program Lead will serve as the technical program lead and systems architect responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the technology infrastructure, systems integrations, and IT operations supporting the organization's accounts payable automation initiative. This role combines enterprise architecture expertise, systems integration knowledge, and IT program management to ensure seamless integration of the AP automation platform with the Infor Cloud Suite Distribution (CSD) ERP environment while maintaining system security, performance, data integrity, and scalability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- In collaboration with a Director of Accounting Transformation, develop comprehensive IT strategy and technical architecture for AP automation solution aligned with enterprise IT roadmap; establish technical governance standards and evaluate AP platform vendors based on technical fit, scalability, security, and Infor integration capabilities
- Design end-to-end systems architecture encompassing AP automation platform deployment, integration patterns, data flows, API-first integration approach, master data management, and establish non-functional requirements for performance, availability, scalability, and disaster recovery
- Lead the design and implementation of integrations between AP automation platform and Infor Cloud Suite Distribution ERP, including vendor master data, purchase order, invoice, payment processing, and financial reporting data flows; evaluate and select integration tools/middleware and develop detailed integration specifications
- Develop comprehensive IT project plan, resource allocation, timeline, and budget; manage IT workstreams and coordinate with Accounting Transformation Director on joint program dependencies while managing vendor relationships and tracking technical milestones
- Develop comprehensive IT testing strategy including integration, system, performance, security, and UAT testing; build and lead cross-functional IT team; develop technical documentation and establish post-implementation support model with continuous performance monitoring and optimization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field; Master's degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
Experience:
- 15 years of progressive IT experience with 10 years in enterprise systems architecture and 7 years leading enterprise IT programs.
- Demonstrated experience implementing AP automation solutions (Coupa, Tungsten, Basware, Medius, or similar) and integrating with ERP systems
- Deep expertise in enterprise systems architecture, Infor Cloud Suite Distribution, API design is preferred, integration patterns, middleware technologies (iPaaS, ESBs), data integration/ETL, and cloud computing architecture
- Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and program/project management capabilities with strong vendor management and change management expertise
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills with ability to work collaboratively across IT, Finance, and Operations teams; strong focus on quality, compliance, and detail
- Prior experience in Shared Services Center or multinational enterprise environment; familiarity with multi-tenant SaaS application architecture
