PRIMARY DUTIES: The Machinist will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, efficiency, and safety of the mill by repairing and producing spare parts and other wearable components for use across the site. This position requires experience in using lathes, welding/cutting, heat treating, milling, and other machine shop equipment, and is required to inspect, test, calibrate, repair, install, fabricate, construct, adjust, lubricate, maintain, dismantle and clean all spare parts and wearable components, and work in conjunction with other maintenance crafts. REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred. 3 years’ experience as qualified Machinist. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery. Welding and metal fabrication experience required. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics. Familiarity with lockout/tagout and other OSHA safety standards. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
