Financial Analyst I

FINANCIAL ANALYST I PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: Assists in reviewing routine forecasts in manufacturing, sales, finance, general business conditions and other related areas as instructed. Under direct supervision, responsible for conducting or assisting in the documentation of simple to moderate financial analysis projects. Reviews, for accuracy, routine financial and business-related reports/analyses in such areas as financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, working capital, and investments. Utilizing PC and/or mainframe-based systems and software, compiles and prepares reports, graphs and charts of data developed. May assist in the month end closing process. Analyze, reconcile, report, and prepare journal entries. Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned. REQUIRED FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: Four-year college degree in accounting, finance required. Entry level position 0-1 years of experience. PREFERRED FOR THE FINANCIAL ANALYST I: Basic knowledge of accounting and financial theory. Basic knowledge of financial analysis techniques. Knowledge of Carpenter’s accounting systems a plus Ability to operate a computer workstation. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and make appropriate decisions. Ability to work under frequently changing priorities. Ability to work under frequently changing priorities. Verbal and written communication skills.
