Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated attorney to join our workers' compensation defense team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to launch their legal career in a fast-paced litigation practice area or for an experienced attorney seeking career advancement. As a workers' compensation defense attorney, you will have ample opportunities to interface with clients directly, both through active litigation of cases and through educational programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis related to workers' compensation laws and regulations
- Assist senior attorneys in preparing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and medical experts
- Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations both virtually and in-person
- Collaborate with team members to develop case strategies and tactics
- Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation
- Stay up to date on developments in workers' compensation law
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Expected Admission to the state (PA, WV, or NJ) bar
- Strong academic record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Commitment to professionalism and client service
