Our Style:

Your Role:
We are seeking a full-time Bridge Department Manager in our Charleston office. The candidate will be in charge of the bridge projects, production, and people within the office. You will be leading the daily production of bridge construction documents for our transportation clients. The responsibilities also include managing and growing a bridge team within the Charleston office. You will be generating and/or reviewing detailed drawings using CAD, design software, and engineering principles for specific portions of construction, maintenance, and planning of transportation projects. You will be responsible for developing bridge scopes of work and fee proposals, as well as management of the project schedule and budget. The position involves overseeing and performing technical work designing bridge plans, bridge construction quantities and estimates, load rating, and completing bridge hydraulics. You must have a strong theoretical knowledge of bridge engineering principles.

Key Skills, Competencies, Experience, & Certifications required:
§ BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited college
§ WV PE Certification
§ 10 years of professional experience in designing complex bridge projects
§ Previous experience working in a team environment
§ Competence in drafting, cost estimates, and estimated quantities
§ MicroStation experience
§ Proficiency with bridge design programs such as Merlin Dash, Bentley OpenBridge Modeler and Designer, HEC-RAS, and Bentley LARS
Key Skills, Competencies, Experience, & Certifications preferred:
§ Understanding of AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications
§ Working knowledge of geotechnical requirements for bridge projects
