Quality Coordinator

SUMMARY: Quality Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Quality Manager with maintenance of our Quality System. The goal is to ensure that every product or service the company provides meets a certain set of standards which they determine based on customer expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Helps maintain the quality management system IATF 16949 certifications.
• Must have working knowledge of the Quality Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
• Performs root cause analysis and implements corrective action for process related concerns and customer complaints.
• Assist QA Manager with continuous improvement activities to enhance the quality system.
• Participates in development of training materials to build quality awareness.
• Ensures that products and processes comply with the relevant requirements of the quality management system.
• Conducts audits, including creating audits findings reports, review of proper corrective and preventive actions and audit findings closing out reviews.
• Creates and maintains company quality documentation, such as quality procedures, and owns Document Control process.
• Serves as backup for other QA team members as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• HS Diploma or GED; Associate degree in related field - a plus
• 1-3 years related experience in a similar role and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands on experience w/IATF 16949/ISO9001
• Must have working knowledge of the Quality Core Tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
• Strong computer skills
• Strong communication skills. Must be a team player, able to interact with employees at all levels
• Ability to travel Domestic if required (light travel)
