Requirements
- Major duties and responsibilities of the job can be satisfactorily performed with a high school education or GED.
- 1 year of previous manufacturing experience with machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Basic computer knowledge and the ability to use computerized equipment in daily operations.
- Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
Essential Functions
- Operate the assigned piece of equipment in accordance with the standards, programs, and customer specifications.
- Track and record data measurements per work instructions from the QMS.
- Perform quality checks on materials to ensure the product meets customer specifications, both in-process and finished goods.
- Mark cut material and ensure movement to appropriate workstations.
- Maintain communication with line personnel to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Assist in other production areas as required, fabrication or packaging.
- Coordinate packaging on pillow and/or pad line.
- Run labels for items to be packaged.
- Pull and distribute supplies in accordance with product specifications.
- Coordinate movement of finished goods to inventory area.
- Audit production and packaging processes for compliance with customer specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
