Summary of Role/Position
Performs routine operating functions in support of the Distribution Center warehouse management system. Work involves product quality investigative work, physical inventory work, and data entry to maintain the warehouse management system. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
YOU WILL:
- Schedule and assign employees in the direct performance of assigned tasks in one or more of the following areas: Receiving, Stocking
- Review staff requirements, evaluate operations, make recommendations, and take appropriate action.
- Prepare or supervise the preparation of production records and reports as required.
- Compare individual employee attendance and productivity to standards and take remedial action as required.
- Interview, assist, train, and evaluate employees.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
- Maintain safe operating practices.
- The ability to work with others in a team environment, the ability to take direction, the ability to follow work rules and procedures, and the ability to accept constructive criticism.
- Must be able to lead and manage others effectively.
- Perform other duties as assigned
you MUST HAVE:
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory capacity
- Broad knowledge of distribution operations.
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Education and experience may be substituted for one another.
- Functional reading, writing, and math.
- PC literacy.
- Written and verbal communication/instruction skills
- Intermediate interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self-motivation and a determination to succeed.
- Innovative ideas followed by precise planning and implementation
- The ability to meet deadlines.
- The ability to work overtime as required.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- The ability to work with a team.
- The ability to lift products of up to 50 lbs.
