What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employee Relations Manager position at CaroMont Health?
Job Summary: Leads, directs and coordinates all employee relations functions for the organization in accordance with the law, policy, and Cares Culture principles. Directs the activities of the Employee Relations team and Leave of Absence programs. Leads or provides oversight on HR investigations. Counsel leaders/HR staff on appropriate disciplinary action and termination decisions. Provides oversight to leave of absence programs. Reviews employment data and trend analysis and provides recommendations to improve staff retention and turnover.
Qualifications: Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience or an Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience. Experience is defined as conducting employee/HR investigations and interviews, navigating ADA accommodation request, managing employees through leave of absence processes, and ensuring compliance with Title VII, FLSA, and other prohibited practices. 2 years of progressive leadership experience, strongly preferred. Must obtain PHR, SHRM-CP, or other recognized HR certification within 24 months of hire. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Must possess critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
