Job Summary: This is a professional position to meet the instructional goals of the school and school system by delivering instructional programs effectively to ensure student achievement.
Qualifications:
- Hold or be eligible for a Maryland educator certificate in the appropriate area. (Early Childhood Education Pre-K-3)
- Demonstrate knowledge of current instructional and curricular methodologies.
- Possess the ability to relate well with students, colleagues, parents and staff.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students.
- Supervises students in a variety of school settings.
- Monitors and evaluates student outcomes.
- Communicates and interacts with students, parents, and community
- Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials to meet the needs of all students.
- Provides an atmosphere and environment so that each student will have the opportunity to develop intellectually, physically, socially, and emotionally.
- Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
- Maintains appropriate records.
- Monitors and assists the student in the proper use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
- Participates in school and county workshops as directed.
- Integrates the use of computers to achieve curricular goals.
- Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
- Reacts to change productively and performs other duties as assigned.

PAY & HOURS: This position is a 10 month position with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week. Caroline County Board of Education, Teacher Salary Scale. Placement on the appropriate salary lane/step will be based on knowledge, experience, skills and abilities related to this position.
