Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Installation, Maintenance, & Repair:
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems in construction applications and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment
- Install, repair, and maintain motors, transformers, generators, lighting systems, circuits, and other electrical components
- Utilize hand and power tools along with electronic testing equipment
- Interpret and follow blueprints, schematics, manuals, specifications, and work orders to determine project requirements and the sequence of work
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code and company safety and quality standards
- Use and maintain electrical and electronic test equipment properly and safely
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Utilize electronic systems to submit time records, complete safety reports, and document work progress
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) required
- Completion of electrical apprenticeship program preferred
- Electrical installation experience preferred
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity -- both are non-negotiable
- Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately
- Ability to self-start, display solid work ethic, and respect others
- Travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise, and the need to stand and walk. Other requirements may include the ability to kneel, crawl, bend, climb ladders, reach and handle with fingers, and differentiate colors.
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload that may involve significant physical manual labor. Projects may be inside or outside, making exposure to the elements possible.
- Perform work at various heights, up to 90' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and cat walks and be able to work in restricted areas
- Lift at least 50 pounds
- Constant moving on your feet
- Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers
