Job Overview

Carolina Woodworks is a leading custom cabinetry and millwork shop with over 30 years of experience. We build everything from scratch using premium materials and state-of-the-art equipment. Our team is expanding, and we're looking for a skilled Shop Lead to help us deliver exceptional results for our clients.

Duties

• Oversee daily shop operations and workflow for a team of 3–5 employees
• Ensure all projects meet quality standards and deadlines
• Train, mentor, and supervise shop staff on best practices and safety procedures
• Manage inventory, order materials, and maintain equipment
• Inspect incoming materials and finished products for accuracy and quality
• Collaborate with design and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, optimizing for efficiency

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in trim carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, or woodshop
• Strong knowledge of custom cabinet construction and woodworking techniques
• Proficient with shop equipment (saws, planers, CNC a plus)
• Ability to read plans, cut lists, and ensure precise measurements
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
