What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technician Apprentice position at Carolina Vehicle Equipment?
CVE, an Automotive Equipment Company is looking to add helper/apprentices to add to its installation team. We are looking for individuals that have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to work within a team environment. This position is for year-round employment at 40 hours per week. Apprentices will receive in-the-field training as well as factory provided training from our manufacturers.
Candidates should have basic experience in industrial mechanical operations and be able or willing to learn how to do the following:
· Work with hand tools – wrenches, sockets, impact guns, laser levels, and other similar tools.
· Operate equipment such as scissor and forklifts. Knowing how to operate larger pieces of equipment is a plus.
· Knowledge of how to assemble of basic piping systems.
Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. They must also be able to pass background check and drug screening.
Candidates will be required to travel out of town/state for projects. Hotel and per-diem will be provided by the company when overnight travel is required.
