Certified Medical Assistant
Carolina Urology Partners, PLLC is a large comprehensive urology group in the Carolinas. We have over 25 physicians, more than 150 employees and 11 urology centers in convenient locations throughout the Carolinas. At Carolina Urology Partners, our expert urologists treat a vast range of urologic problems, from common to complex, with compassion and the most advanced technology.
We are currently seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our office in Rock Hill, SC. This position will be responsible for assisting in the examination and treatment of patients under Physician direction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinates patient movement and transport from general waiting room to required treatment area
- Interviews patients, measures vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height; records information on patient charts
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Drapes patients with covering and positions instruments/equipment as necessary
- Hands instruments/materials to Physician when necessary
- Cleans and sterilizes instruments in accordance to approved OSHA guidelines and procedures
- Inventories and orders medical supplies/materials
- Keys data into computer system to maintain office and patient records
- Acts as backup to Front Office staff when necessary
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Current certification or registration as Medical Assistant preferred. (AAMA Accredited Preferred)
- Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, staff members and Physicians
- 1-2 years clinical experience preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
**Pay rate is negotiable based on experience**
