Carolina PRG has partnered with a $200 million manufacturing company on a search for a Senior Accountant. This role will support month-end close, financial reporting, and manufacturing accounting while partnering with finance and operations to improve processes and provide accurate financial information. Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Maintain accurate general ledger balances and supporting schedules in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Analyze monthly financial results and explain fluctuations in revenue, expenses, margins, and other key accounts.
- Support inventory and cost accounting activities, including inventory reconciliations, reserve analysis, and reviews of manufacturing variances.
- Partner with operations to review inventory transactions, support physical inventory counts, and resolve accounting issues.
- Maintain fixed asset records, including capital additions.
- Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions and balances, as applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
- Three or more years of accounting experience; manufacturing experience required.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.
- Experience with inventory, cost accounting, or manufacturing variance analysis preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and working with large data sets.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
