Senior Accountant

Carolina PRG is helping a growing national company add two senior accountants for the corporate accounting team based in Charlotte.
Summary: The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the month-end financials, complex account reconciliations, preparing & reviewing journal entries, and supporting the leadership team with ad hoc reporting. This role is part of a collaborative accounting team and reports directly to the Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate brings strong technical skills, curiosity, and the ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform month‑end and quarter‑end close tasks
- Prepare and review journal entries
- Own assigned general ledger accounts and ensure compliance with US GAAP
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Reconcile and maintain the integrity of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Support internal controls
- Assist with audits, reporting requests, and ad‑hoc analysis
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability
Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 3 years of experience, plus national public accounting experience
- Active CPA or progress toward CPA
- Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis
- Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles
- Knowledge of SOX compliance preferred
Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
