Key Responsibilities:
Core Accounting & Reporting
- Lead month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to GAAP.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Assist with consolidated financial statements and internal management reporting.
- Work with the leadership team with the development of the budget & quarterly forecast.
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for financial fluctuations.
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls across accounting processes.
Supervisory & Leadership
- Serve as a resource for technical accounting questions and problem-solving.
- Help build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture.
Process Improvement & Operational Support
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance reporting accuracy.
- Support system enhancements, automation initiatives, and documentation of procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
Compliance & Audit
- Coordinate with external CPA firm
- Assist with tax-related schedules and compliance requirements as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 4 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
- Advanced Excel and Systems skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical thinking, and organizational abilities.
