Carolina PRG has partnered with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a Production Supervisor. This role will oversee daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met in a fast-paced environment.
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and coordinating production team activities, driving output, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This role works closely with operations, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure production goals are achieved while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities, ensuring schedules and output targets are met
- Lead, train, and develop production team members, providing ongoing coaching and performance feedback
- Monitor workflow, staffing, and equipment to maintain efficiency and minimize downtime
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality requirements
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve production issues and ensure product standards are met
- Track production metrics and report on performance, efficiency, and output
- Assist with scheduling, staffing, and shift planning to support production demands
- Maintain accurate production records and documentation
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong understanding of production processes, workflow, and shop floor operations
- Experience managing teams, including training, coaching, and performance management
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and technical documents
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within a manufacturing environment (OSHA preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements
- Experience with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or process optimization is a plus
- Proficiency with ERP or production systems; SAP experience preferred
