This is a senior leadership role overseeing the Accounts Receivable and Credit function for a large, complex enterprise. The Director will manage a sizable team, drive process excellence, optimize workflows, and ensure disciplined credit and collections practices across high-volume commercial B2B accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-layer AR team, establishing KPIs and a culture of accountability.
- Oversee all AR functions, including credit, collections, dispute resolution, and cash application.
- Manage large, high-volume commercial portfolios while maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Develop, implement, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
- Collaborate with finance, sales, and operations leadership on escalations, reporting, and process alignment.
- Prepare AR dashboards, aging analyses, and DSO trend reports for senior leadership.
- Lead system upgrades, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10 years of progressive AR leadership experience managing large teams.
- Experience in a high-volume, multi-entity enterprise ($2B annual revenue or equivalent).
- Proven expertise in credit management, collections, and dispute resolution.
- Strong analytical, communication, and executive reporting skills.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or equivalent) and advanced reporting tools.
- Track record of driving process improvements and building cross-functional partnerships.
