About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, full-time Anatomic Pathology (AP) Histology Tech to join our team and handle our daily lab operations from start to finish. In this role, you will be the go-to person for everything from grossing and cutting to keeping our equipment running smoothly.
We are specifically looking for an established professional who wants a stable, long-term career. Please note: Because this role requires full-time dedication and consistent hours, we cannot accommodate student schedules or part-time availability.
Flexible Hours (early mornings), Monday through Friday.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- The Essentials: Handle tissue embedding, cutting (microtomy), manual/automated staining, and cover slipping.
- Grossing & Screening: Perform accurate gross examinations of tissue specimens and screen slides for things like fungi and bacteria.
- Tech & Maintenance: Load and maintain our Ventana stainer, tissue processors, and embedding stations, and fix minor tech issues when they pop up.
- Data & Tracking: Keep everything organized by labeling slides correctly and scanning requisitions into our digital system.
- Problem Solving: Catch and fix administrative or workflow hiccups in the AP department to keep things moving.
What We’re Looking For
- Real-World Experience: At least 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience working in an AP or Histology lab. You should be confident in grossing and cutting from day one.
- Equipment Knowledge: You know your way around Ventana stainers, tissue processors, and digital slide scanners. Ability and willingness to learn.
- The Right Mindset: Super attentive to detail, organized, and independent. You don't need someone looking over your shoulder to get the job done right.
- Availability: Ready to work a stable, full-time schedule. Weekdays M-F.
Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
