Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Checks and approves all vouchers for payment.
- Prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary.
- Audits freight bills against freight manifests.
- Answers all vendor inquiries.
- Analyzes vendor accounts and assist with negotiation of terms with vendors.
- Prepares accounts payable checks.
- Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
- Prepares monthly analysis of accounts.
- Assists in monthly financial closings.
- Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date and discounts are captured.
- Assists with financial planning and analysis and special projects.
- Assists with budget planning and budget/actual variance analysis, cash flow forecast.
- Supports internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
- Participates in process improvement initiatives to enhance Procure to Pay efficiency and accuracy.
- Utilizes JD Edwards for invoice matching, posting, and reporting.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal control procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:
College degree in accounting; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Salary : $55,000 - $65,000
