The Farm Operations Crew Member serves as a key support role on the farm, working directly under the Director of Farm Operations to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. This is a highly hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, variety in their day, and contributing to a mission-driven environment. This role is not managerial but is essential to keeping the farm running efficiently: handling routine property maintenance, supporting planting and harvesting efforts, and assisting with general operational needs.

This role is not managerial but is essential to keeping the farm running efficiently: handling routine property maintenance, supporting planting and harvesting efforts, and assisting with general operational needs.
Responsibilities
Farm & Property Maintenance
- Mow and maintain grass across farm property including fields, pathways, and common areas
- Assist with general upkeep of farm infrastructure such as fencing, raised beds, and greenhouse areas
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces, tools, and storage areas
- Run local errands as needed, including supply pickups, deliveries, and equipment runs
- Support basic logistics for farm operations and produce distribution
- Assist with set-up and breakdown for farm activities or educational visits
- Assist with seeding, transplanting, and bed preparation across greenhouses and outdoor gardens
- Support harvesting, washing, and packing of produce for donation
- Follow guidance from leadership on crop handling and quality standards
- Jump in wherever needed—this is a dynamic, all-hands-on-deck environment
- Assist with special projects as the farm grows, such as building new beds or systems
- Support occasional volunteer groups or field trip logistics
Strong work ethic and willingness to do physical, outdoor work in varying conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently once trained
- Positive attitude and team-first mindset
- Comfortable taking direction and shifting priorities throughout the day
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Prior farm, landscaping, or manual labor experience preferred but not required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
- Frequent walking, bending, lifting, and operating basic equipment (e.g., mowers, hand tools)
