Patient Service Representative (PT)

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Patient Service Representative to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth administrative operations within our medical or dental office. The ideal candidate will be organized, compassionate, and possess strong communication skills to assist patients effectively and support the daily functions of the practice.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and check them in efficiently upon arrival
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using our electronic health records system
• Verify patient insurance information and update records accordingly
• Collect patient co-pays and process payments accurately
• Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and direct calls as needed
• Maintain accurate and organized patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
• Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
• Support clinical staff with basic administrative duties to ensure seamless workflow

Experience

• Prior experience in a medical or dental office setting is preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous
• Experience with medical administrative support and office procedures is desirable
• Office experience demonstrating strong organizational skills is beneficial
• Familiarity with dental office operations is a plus
