Experienced Heavy Equipment Operator

Carolina EarthWerx is expanding and looking for Experienced, high-level Equipment Operatorsto join our team. This is not an entry level position. Applicants must have multiple machine operating experience across excavation, grading, drainage, land clearing, site preparation, material hauling. Operators must be able to perform work safety, efficiently and independently without supervision.

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator with proven experience in residential and commercial site work to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of heavy machinery and possess strong mechanical knowledge. This role needs to have prior professional experience in excavators, dozers, skid steers, loaders, rollers and forestry mulching equipment. The ideal operator can understand grades, read site plans, cuts to elevation, installs drainage, can work efficiently without supervision, safely handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate excavators, dozers, grading, skid steers, land clearing, cut/fill, trenching, and backfilling.
• Install culverts, drainage systems, septic systems, and basic utility layouts.
• Read and interpret grades, plans and site drawings.
• Ensure quality, accuracy, and efficiency in all needed operations.
• Conduct pre/post inspections on all equipment & maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Work independently when needed without constant supervision.
• work with a team and problem solve.
• Demonstrate safe practices and uphold Carolina EarthWerx standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience operating heavy equipment Minimum 2 years of professional equipment operating experience.
• Mechanical knowledge related to construction equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Valid drivers License.
• Must have experience and confidence in grading, drainage, land clearing, site development.
• Must be able to work alone without supervision or coaching.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures in construction environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including working in outdoor conditions for extended periods.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and take pride in workmanship, with strong work ethic and able to represent the company professionally.

Pay: $ $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Work Location: In person
