Carolina Civil is seeking an experienced and dedicated Utility Foreman to oversee and coordinate crews working on underground utility installation and maintenance projects, including water, sewer, storm, and other related systems. The Utility Foreman ensures that tasks are completed correctly, safely, on time, and within budget.

- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew members on utility installation projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and specifications.
- Operate and oversee heavy equipment used in trenching, backfilling, pipe laying, and grading.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Monitor project progress and communicate issues or delays to the superintendent or project manager.
- Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation and compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain accurate daily reports, timesheets, and materials used.
- Train and mentor crew members on proper techniques and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, inspectors, and other stakeholders as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- 3 years of experience in underground utility construction
- 1 year of supervisory or foreman experience
- Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drainage systems
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and utility plans
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred)
- Competency in operating heavy equipment (excavators, backhoes, etc.)
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Outdoor work environment; exposure to extreme weather conditions
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Use of personal protective equipment required
