We are seeking a hardworking and reliable General Laborer to join our civil construction team. This is a physically demanding position that offers the opportunity to work on large-scale projects and grow within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with site clearing, grading, and excavation activities to prepare land for development.
- Support the installation of underground utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drainage systems.
- Operate basic hand and power tools, including shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and saws, while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
- Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and supplies from trucks and trailers.
- Perform manual labor tasks such as trenching, backfilling, and compacting soil or gravel.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in civil construction is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the workday.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to reach different job sites.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from site supervisors and heavy equipment operators.
