Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Aide to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment, ensuring seamless operations while assisting with physiotherapy procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and experience in patient service and rehabilitation care.

Duties

• Greet patients warmly, verify insurance information, and manage appointment scheduling to ensure efficient clinic flow.
• Assist physical therapists with patient transfers using proper transfer methods and manual handling techniques, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Prepare treatment areas, set up therapy equipment, and assist during physiotherapy sessions to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records, document treatment progress, and uphold strict confidentiality standards in compliance with privacy regulations.
• Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and offering emotional support throughout treatment sessions.
• Support administrative tasks such as billing, intake processing, and managing patient correspondence to facilitate smooth clinic operations.
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of therapy spaces and equipment in accordance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting with exposure to physical therapy or rehabilitation environments.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and post-acute care practices relevant to physiotherapy.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling safely during patient transfers or equipment setup.
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required; additional certifications in acute care or hospital medicine are advantageous.
• Strong client communication skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service across diverse populations including geriatrics and orthopedics.
• Experience working within inpatient or outpatient settings specializing in orthopedics or rehabilitation is preferred.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality rigorously while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
