Carolina CDL Training Center is seeking a full-time Class A CDL Instructor to join our team in Asheville, NC.
We are looking for a safety-focused, professional CDL driver who is passionate about helping students build successful careers in the trucking industry. As a CDL Instructor, you will provide classroom and behind-the-wheel training while preparing students to earn their Class A Commercial Driver's License.
Pay
- $26.00–$30.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday–Thursday
- 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL instruction
- Teach pre-trip inspections, backing maneuvers, and road driving
- Ensure students follow FMCSA and school safety standards
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback
- Maintain a positive, professional learning environment
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 2 years of verified Class A driving experience
- Ability to pass a background check
- Fairly clean driving record
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, but not required
