What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Class A Driver position at Black Bear Paving?
Black Bear Paving, a paving contractor based in Franklin, NC, is hiring a full-time Class A CDL Driver to join our crew. You will haul equipment, asphalt, and materials to and from job sites and support paving operations as needed.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport materials and equipment to job sites. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance checks. Load, secure, and unload materials and equipment. Assist the paving crew on site as needed. Maintain accurate logs and comply with DOT and safety regulations.
Requirements:
Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record. Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug screen. Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused. Construction or paving experience is a plus.
Pay: Starting at $18.00 per hour, based on experience.
Schedule: Full-time, daytime hours (seasonal paving work).
