Carolina Caring is seeking a skilled and compassionate Counselor to work with our pediatric program serving terminally ill children and their families. This role provides emotional support and counseling to children and families as they navigate the unique challenges associated with serious and terminal illness.
The position will primarily support the Mecklenburg County area, with the Carolina Caring clinic in Huntersville serving as the home base. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; bilingual skills are preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling and emotional support to pediatric patients and their families
- Assess individual and family needs and develop appropriate plans for support
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support children and families throughout their care
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Provide compassionate, family-centered support that reflects the mission and values of Carolina Caring
This is a part-time position supporting Carolina Caring’s pediatric program in the Mecklenburg County area.
