Accounting Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides corporate accounting services related to fixed asset management, capital project spend, and general ledger review, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and company policy across multiple sites. This position also supports Corporate Initiatives through internal audits, projects, reporting, analysis, reconciliations, and continuous standardization improvements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fixed Asset Management for both GAAP & Tax Books including additions, disposals, reconciliations, reporting, ERP processes and record keeping.
- Fixed asset depreciations, related journal entries, ERP processes, reconciliation and reporting.
- Prepare and maintain Fixed Asset documentation for external audit.
- Fixed Asset Property Tax filings.
- Fixed Asset post completion audits, benchmarking and physical audits.
- Capital projects spend tracking, analysis, reconciling, and reporting.
- Communicate with and provide information for Controllers, Project Managers, Management and Auditors regarding Capital Project Spend and Fixed Asset Management.
- Lease accounting review.
- Performs additional duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- 3 to 5 years experience in accounting.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and manufacturing processes (preferred).

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail/accuracy with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and ability to maintain integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to self-start, work independently and take ownership of work.

- Must be physically and mentally able to successfully perform the essential elements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Vision requirements to do this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Travel is required to job sites, regional offices, and/or professional and community organization events.
