What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Rework Lead position at Carolina Beverage?

Summary: To assist in supervising all areas within the Re-work department. The Re-work Lead assists the Re-work & Re-pack Supervisor in maintaining the responsibility for all aspects of the packaging process including process improvement and quality initiates, in an effort to achieve optimum production efficiency and productivity goals, while maintaining the quality and integrity of food safety, handling, and sanitation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise employees and Temporary Employees on the floor for an assigned shift to include:
- Coordinating department operations
- Completing Rework and Repack schedules
- Maintaining quality procedures & cleanliness to ensure compliance with GMP standards
- Assist in establishing, maintaining, & enforcing safety policy, procedures, & guidelines
- Completing all routine functions on the warehouse floor or plant
- Provide timely and constant feedback to direct reports regarding performance
- Administer disciplinary or corrective action if needed
- First point of contact for all hourly employee concerns and company issues
- Build effective relationships with all internal and surrounding departments and maintain good communication with all supervisors to ensure smooth running of production & processing
- Control workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, man hours, tools and equipment. Alter schedules if needed to meet unforeseen conditions.
- Coordinate and conduct general maintenance work on equipment ( Zambelli, issues … such as film change or jambs and or product change over and to include forklift check lists and operator approved maintenance) with supervisor and manager in charge as necessary.
- Monitor all control procedures and assist with completing daily logs and spread sheets as requested by leadership.
- Ensure that on a daily basis all Carolina Beverage Group standards and customer commitments (i.e., QA, safety, output, on-time delivery) are followed within the warehouse and or plant
- Prepare and submit reports as required to include:
- Email notification to proper supervisors and or management with various progress updates
- Daily Logs, Spreadsheets, Material requests, Rework and Project updates before designated times prior to end of shift

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work in wet, humid, or outdoor conditions. The employee is also exposed to varying temperatures extremes including heat and cold as the weather varies. The employee is occasionally exposed to work on elevated platforms, with fumes or airborne particles, or with toxic or caustic chemicals. This employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and exposed to vibration.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Distance vision, Color Vision, Peripheral vision, and Depth perception. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
