Our Opportunity: Front Office and Inventory Lead
Status: Full Time
Hours: 8-Hour shift: 9:00p-5:00a
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Compensation: $24.00-$25.50 per hour depending on experience
Summary
This position assists in the documentation, oversight, and control of finished goods inventory, Raw materials and Ingredients in the facility both from customers as well as the company while specializing in the posting in various customer systems. This position is responsible for providing leadership to the Distribution Clerks while ensuring the most efficient and timely response to incoming and outgoing shipments to expedite the removal of products from distribution centers. Assist Inventory and Warehouse Managers on special projects as needed.
What You Will Be Doing
- Work with employees daily to solve problems and create opportunities for success including documenting SOP’s and/or Best Practices.
- Ensure adequate staffing coverage for 24 hour workdays.
- Create and enforce staff schedule to specific duties, such as data entry, driver check-in, and load scheduling.
- Ensure all releases are received prior to scheduling and data entry is completed in a timely manner. In addition, verification is completed no later than a day prior to appointment times.
- Coordinates regular inventory counts as required by customers and company. Assists in customer requests and discrepancies. Have a good understanding of inventory control policy and procedures based on customers and company requirements.
- Assist in setting up and controlling FEFO Inventory System to ensure uninterrupted flow of product and materials to the various departments of the company as requested.
- Monitor/Review/Coach implementation of daily productivity improvements to ensure corporate goals are met. Conduct training of distribution clerks as well as inventory control procedures and ensure policies are being followed.
- Recommends personnel actions, such as hiring, performance evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary measures to department head. Staying up to date on employe 30-60-90 and annual reviews.
- Performs all other duties as assigned or required by the manager/customer.
What You Need to Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of experience in a blending or manufacturing environment
- Knowledge working in Outlook, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and use of customer portals
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Regular use of computer, writing, and filing records
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with SAP or other inventory management systems
- Experience with GMP and/or HACCP regulations
Job Setting
This role is based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Employees will experience varying physical demands throughout the day, including standing for extended periods and walking on occasionally slippery floors. Primarily works in office setting, may spend time in the production/warehouse environment.
Due to the nature of the facility, temperatures may fluctuate based on outside weather conditions including heat and cold.
The work environment can be loud, and hearing protection (ear plugs) is required. Additionally, to ensure safety and hygiene, employees must wear hairnets and refrain from wearing jewelry while on the production floor.
Alcohol is an ingredient in products we produce. We are unable to guarantee specific positions, work schedules or work environments that do not include working around alcohol.
