Role Description
Carnes & Ekparian, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Survey Technician for a full-time position based on-site in Gilroy, CA. In this role, you will conduct surveys related to land use planning, topography, boundaries, and construction projects. Your daily tasks will involve data collection in the field, operating advanced surveying equipment, supporting field crews, and preparing accurate documentation. The position provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to precision land surveying projects across diverse geographic and urban contexts.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Topographic Surveys and ALTA Surveys
- Strong knowledge of Land Surveying and Building Surveying practices
- Experience with Field Work and operation of modern surveying equipment
- Understanding of construction staking and boundary measurements
- Attention to detail and the ability to interpret survey data accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of an on-site team
- Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field is preferred
- State-recognized license or certification in land surveying is a plus
- Proficiency with surveying software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) is a strong advantage
Salary : $62,000 - $90,000
