Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the limited direction of the assigned Principal or other administrator, perform administrative duties with significant independence to assist the administrator with routine office duties; ensure proper and efficient operations of the office; coordinate communications between administrators, District, and site personnel, parents, students, and the general public; support the educational process by assisting in securing substitute staff.

This posting is for a combined position serving as both a Childcare Program Assistant and Paraeducator at Carmelo Child Development Center. The successful candidate will support classroom instruction and childcare services, including managing food inventory, distributing lunches, supervising students on the playground, and providing instruction to a small group of four-year-old children. A California Child Development Teacher Permit is preferred. Schedule Childcare Program Assistant 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. (1.0 hour per day) Paraeducator 11:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (3.75 hours per day) Total: 4.75 hours per day
