Overview
Carmel Point Landscapes is seeking a Senior Landscape Designer or Landscape Architect to lead high-end residential estate projects from concept through installation. This role requires strong design judgment, deep horticultural knowledge, and the ability to collaborate closely with ownership, crews, and clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead design development for luxury residential landscapes
- Create site plans, planting plans, and design presentations
- Conduct site evaluations and client consultations
- Select plant palettes appropriate to coastal California environments
- Coordinate with installation and maintenance teams to ensure design integrity
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail
- Provide oversight during installation to ensure execution matches design intent
- Design, estimation, sales
Qualifications
- 5 years experience in landscape design or landscape architecture
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or similar field
- Landscape Architecture license a plus but not required
- Strong horticultural knowledge including plants, soils, irrigation, and coastal ecosystems
- Experience designing for high-end residential properties
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)
- Ability to translate client vision into buildable designs
- Excellent communication and project coordination skills
