POSITION TITLE: Monon Community Center Aide
DIVISION: Monon Community Center
REPORTS TO: Member Services Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt, Part-Time, Starting at $12.00 per hour
Organization Information
Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation (CCPR) holds the Gold Medal Award for Excellence in Park and Recreation Management by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration (AAPRA) in partnership with the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) for parks serving populations of 75,001 to 150,000. As an accredited agency, the department serves the recreation, fitness, and nature needs of the community, manages and develops existing spaces and resources and creates a sustainable future for parks and recreation programs through a financially viable and environmentally conscious parks system. CCPR manages and maintains more than 500 park acres and numerous recreation facilities, including the Monon Community Center and The Waterpark. In addition, CCPR has partnered with Carmel Clay Schools to establish Extended School Enrichment (ESE), a before and after-school care program for K-6 students located at all eleven Carmel elementary schools. Purpose Of Position
Aide positions are available to help in the Fitness Center, KidZone and The Waterpark(seasonal). This part-time position is responsible for providing support to the Member Services and/or Aquatics teams, including fitness equipment cleaning and organizing, assisting in overseeing kids in KidZone, general cleaning duties at The Waterpark and guest assistance at the Monon Community Center and/or Waterpark.

- Responsible for pleasantly greeting MCC guests and directing guest to rooms, programs, and events.
- Responsible for cleaning and organizing the fitness equipment within the Fitness Center.
- Responsible for interreacting and overseeing participants in KidZone.
- Responsible for collecting and organizing tubes and life jackets at The Waterpark.
- Reliable attendance and timeliness to scheduled shifts.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Must adhere to CCPR dress code standards.
- Performs other related work as required.
- Ability to positively adhere to Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation policy and procedures.
- Ability to positively promote the image of Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation.
- Ability to understand instructions.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions, including heat and sun (Waterpark specific).
- Must be 18 years or older.
