Carlton Fields is seeking a Paralegal for its Hartford office.
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of real estate transactional and financing paralegal experience in a law firm setting.
Qualified candidates must be proactive, flexible, have excellent organizational and communication skills, proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, and experience with electronic document management systems; Filesite experience is a plus. The ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks based on business needs is essential.
Duties Include, But Not Limited To
A minimum of 5 years of real estate transactional and financing paralegal experience in a law firm setting
Experience and proficiency with matters pertaining to title insurance, including examination of title and survey, preparation of title commitments and policies, and working with title companies regarding any issuance of title commitments and policies or working to resolve title issues.
Experience and proficiency with due diligence reviews of documents
Experience and proficiency with handling commercial closings and preparing related documents, including, but not limited to, UCC financing statements, closing instruction letters, and closing documents and binders.
Experience and proficiency with drafting and preparing deeds, mortgages, financing statements and other real estate transactional and financing documents
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in electronic recordings and official records searches
Experience with the formation of corporations, limited liability companies and other entities
Strong organization skills and detail-oriented
Ability to communicate with clients and to work independently
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
The salary range for this role in Connecticut is $85,000 - $89,000. Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the Carlton Fields total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
