Large Oregon based construction materials testing laboratory has an immediate opening at our Geotechnical branch office for a friendly part-time Administrative Assistant.

This part-time job will be 4 hours a day ideally between 8:00am & 12:00pm this can be discussed further during the interview process.
Description/Duties:
- Typing test reports into database or word/excel.
- Perform general office duties which include answering multi-line phones, filing, using a copy machine, fax and email (Microsoft Outlook).
- Accurate data entry and ability to learn new computer database is required.
- The company maintains and shares files electronically within network drives/folders – Understanding electronic filing methodology is key.
- Ensure the office remains organized, well-stocked, and operating efficiently by maintaining office supplies, filing and recordkeeping systems, workspaces, and common areas.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of office experience
- Ability to 10-key and type at least 50 wpm.
- Intermediate MS Office Products; Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding and experience with Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to learn an Informix data base program
- Must be dependable/reliable, detail oriented, quick learner and capable of multi-tasking.
- Excellent communication, written, verbal and ‘people skills’ are must as we deal with a large variety and diverse group of clientele (Municipality, Engineers, Architects and Contractors).
- Must be able to work both productively and efficiently with teams in multiple offices.
- Must be self-motivated, self-directed and be able to work independently as well as a team.
- Construction knowledge is a plus but not required as we will train the right person.
- Must possess basic math skills.
Other Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
