The Campus Laboratory School at Carlow University is seeking a dedicated and innovative Third Grade Teacher to join our team.
The Third Grade Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction for third-grade students in alignment with the school curriculum and educational standards. The Third Grade Teacher is responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing instruction for third-grade students in alignment with the school curriculum and educational standards. Essential Functions:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in reading, writing, mathematics, science, social studies, and other subject areas.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including English language learners and students with special needs.
- Implement classroom management strategies that promote a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Monitor, assess, and record student progress, providing timely feedback to students and families.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and improve curriculum, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, classroom activities, and school events.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and maintain current knowledge of best practices in education.
- Supervise students during lunch, recess, and school events as needed.
- Assist with school-wide initiatives, extracurricular programs, and community events.
- Support school policies and procedures and contribute to a positive school culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field.
- Master’s degree preferred but not required.
- Prior teaching experience in elementary education preferred.
- Experience working with third-grade students or within similar age groups is highly desirable.
- Valid state teaching certification for elementary education (K–6 or 1–6 depending on state requirements).
- Additional endorsements or certifications (e.g., Reading Specialist, Special Education) preferred but not required.
